CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE DEMO RECIPROCAL-RESIDENCY >>> The call for applications is only open to artists (visual arts) with a link to the Alpes-Maritimes (live, work or develop a project in the area). <<< A collaboration between thankyouforcoming (Nice - Côte d'Azur) and Kaunas Artists' House (Kaunas - Lithuania). SEASON #6 - 2021 - ACROSS#31 Each year, thankyouforcoming hosts art critics/exhibition curators in residency in Nice and the surrounding area. - THE PROJECT Kaunas Artists’ House (KAH, Lithuania) together with the ACROSS residencies by thankyouforcoming (based in Nice, French Riviera, France) are starting to carry out the Reciprocal Residency Programme DeMo (abbreviation of Decoding Modernity). The programme aims to explore the connections between different modernities and to think of modernity as a range of concepts across different periods and geographical situations and across cultural, scientific, societal and industrial developments. This residency also allows the applicant to discover the Kaunas area’s contemporary art scene and history, to develop their research work and to participate in a new network. Reciprocal Residency DeMo is a part of “Kaunas – European Capital of Culture 2022” programme. CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE NOMADIC RESIDENCY of Arts in Residence - National Network. >>> The call for applications is addressed exclusively to a curator and/or art critic living in Lebanon. <<< A collaboration of thankyouforcoming (Nice - Côte d'Azur), Maison Salvan (Toulouse-Labège), Finis terrae (Ouessant) and the Fernand Léger Arts Centre (Port de Bouc). SEASON #6 - 2021 - ACROSS#33 Each year, thankyouforcoming hosts art critics/curators in residency in Nice and the surrounding area. - THE PROJECT The nomadic curatorial residency set up by Arts en résidence - Réseau national since 2016, regularly offers an exhibition curator or art critic the opportunity to be hosted in several structures of the network during different stays. This project is to be considered as a residency of meetings and networking with many actors of the different territories, and for which each structure acts as a facilitator. The aim is to meet and dialogue with the local scene, in the variety of contexts offered by each of the locations. In the wake of the disaster that struck Beirut on August 4, 2020, and to allow a professional to temporarily escape from a living and working context tested by a multifaceted crisis, the 2021 residency is part of a collaboration with the French Institute of Lebanon and the NAFAS programme - 100 residencies for Lebanese artists in France.
