Maja Rohwetter (*1970), after studies in Philosophy, Art and Romance Studies, studied fine arts at the UDK Berlin and the Royal College of Arts, Stockholm and completed her master's degree in 1998 at the UDK Berlin. Several Travel and residency scholarships have taken her to Sweden and Finland. Her artistic works are shown in institutions and galleries in Germany, Finland, Austria and Sweden. In addition to her work as an artist, she teaches media design and media theory. She has been a guest lecturer at the HS Wismar and the Arctic University Tromsö. Her cross medial artistic research between painting, collage and 3D modelling focuses on a visual language that includes visual experiences from both virtuality and reality. She received a grant from the German Federal Ministry of Culture and Media in 2022. She is based in Berlin.
