Oana Clitan is an artist and designer exploring how language and contemporary communication are influenced by technology and media. Born in Romania, she completed her design studies in The Netherlands and since 2014 has been based in Rotterdam. Her work has been exhibited, among others, at Het Nieuwe Instituut (Rotterdam, NL), Rijksmuseum Twenthe (Enschede, NL), Van Abbemuseum (Eindhoven, NL), Technische Sammlungen (Dresden, DE) and Visual Kontakt gallery (Cluj-Napoca, RO). In 2019 she was selected for the Open Archief project by Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision and Het Nieuwe Instituut, and in 2020 her work 'Terms and Conditions' has been acquired for the collection of the Dutch Government.
